Some clients keep a running count: “this radio doesn’t work, here, take another.” They learned it renting rebuilt radios that show up in cardboard boxes or in adapted toolboxes. We don’t work that way. A uniform DEP450 fleet, no patched units. A professional multi-unit charger, not ten loose ones. Accessories that get replaced, not patched. The radio never fails; what fails is everything around it, and that is where we invest.

They arrive the way production gear arrives.

Not in a bag, not in a cardboard box, not in an adapted toolbox. They come in rugged cases with custom-cut foam: radios, antennas, hand mics and in-ears, each in its place. Hand-picked gear to keep communication running: as simply as possible, as well as possible.

Vic Sustaita played with walkie-talkies as a kid: the feeling of watching over a perimeter, staying alert, belonging to a channel. Today, with 26 years in technical production across 4 countries (rigging, security and floor communications on productions for Usher, Elton John, Aerosmith, Maroon 5, the Jonas Brothers, David Guetta and more than 100 shows), he runs his first professional radio-communications company. It started small, and it is aiming for the big venues.

Utilitour is for the people who know when they leave home but not when they’ll be back. If you’re new, it still hurts and you think about doing something else. If time has already worn you in, you’ve quit this business twenty times and you’re back with a new joy. Maybe you’re new and very happy, new and already wanting out, a veteran who wants out, or a veteran who feels new. You choose. This is where we belong.

FAQ

Pricing and orders

How much does a radio cost?

A Motorola DEP450 radio is MX$199 per radio per day. Hand mic PTT and in-ear PTT are MX$49 per unit per day; a spare battery is MX$29 per unit per day. Rentals are billed by the day (1 to 30) or by the week (1 to 8; each week is billed as 5 days). Prices are before IVA, Mexico's value-added tax.

What's the minimum order?

MX$5,000 pesos or USD 300 per job, calculated before any discount and including delivery.

How do the discount levels work?

The discount applies to equipment only, not to delivery or the on-site radio handler. Level A (5%) is the first-time price: no code needed for agencies, production companies and event vendors in their first 10 events. Level B (10%) starts with your 11th event, with a code. Level C (20%) is for industry colleagues and vendors registered with us, with a code. Codes are issued on WhatsApp.

How do I hold my date?

With a 30% deposit by card, or in cash at OXXO, through Clip, from the quote calculator. The balance is paid on delivery. Your date is held once we receive the receipt.

Delivery

Do you deliver to the venue?

Yes, in Mérida and Cancun (Cancun and Puerto Morelos need 24 hours' notice). The Riviera Maya needs 48 hours' notice. Los Cabos is booked in advance, with 7 days' notice. For other cities in Mexico, we quote the logistics. Delivery and pickup are priced by zone, plus IVA: MX$800 in Mérida city, Cancun city and Puerto Morelos; MX$900 on the Isla Mujeres mainland; MX$1,500 in Playa del Carmen and from Playa del Carmen to Tulum / Sian Ka'an. Locations that need a ferry or other transport, and Los Cabos, are quoted separately. Optional: an on-site radio handler, MX$1,500 per day up to 30 radios and MX$2,000 per day above 30.

How do the radios arrive?

In a rugged case with custom-cut foam. Always, so they travel protected and are easy to carry.

How many radios do you have?

Enough for small and large events. Availability is confirmed on WhatsApp once we have your dates.

What comes with each radio?

A DEP450 programmed to 16 channels, a charged battery, belt clip, antenna and a numbered tag. Hand mic, in-ear and spare batteries rent separately.

At the event

Do I need a license?

No. We work on license-free frequencies, and we can share an event with another provider’s radios.

What if a radio is lost or damaged?

Every delivery comes with a signed sign-out sheet listing the replacement value of each piece. If it happens, it is a number on a sheet, not an argument.
